I have been wanting to make a jQuery plugin for a while, and recently got the opportunity to guest write a post at amberweinberg.com and thought a tutorial would be a great addition. So I had one stone, and two birds…You know what happened next right?

Exactly! A tutorial on how you can build your own jQuery plugin! I think it is great one to get you started out with any plugin development, and it is even pretty useful I think. Simply add your usernames and/or URLs of your favorite social networking sites and then BAM! The plugin creates a list, links and even icons for your ease of display!

Finally I got around to making a Facebook fan page, and I am glad that I waited. I had time to figure out how to get in and customize it so that the page does not look so boring like facebook itself. Hop over and have a look! thatfacebook.com.

So I wanted to write something and let whoever know what I have been working on lately. I have a new site in the works that I am building for a friends church ministry in Honduras, they build homes and medical clinics there, so I am helping them have an online place to post their information and the like. Pretty fun stuff and for a good cause! Let’s see what else is going on…

Recently my friends began their own production music studio, Sekill & Preut and being the industry it is, they needed to become active on MySpace. Now I will be the first to admit that I am not much of a fan of MySpace for social connections, but from my understanding if you are in the music business, it is the place to be.

So, with that being the case, I took up arms against a place I rarely visit to design and build them a custom layout for their company profile and their subsequent band,Villains Inc. After a good long time banging my head into the walls, I believe I finally got the profiles to look and act in a respectable way. This in turn has led many people to ask me for tips, tricks and how-to’s so they too can conquer the beast. That is my aim here, to provide a tutorial on customizing your own MySpace band profile, so let’s get started!
