How To Build a Custom Theme For Concrete5 From Scratch

Concrete5 is a Content Management System that I actually stumbled upon accidentally. I say stumbled because for the most part they do not advertise and rely on word of mouth promotion. I have since built a couple of sites with the CMS and have been thrilled at its ease of use and robust functionality. One downside is that, being such a quiet endeavor, the community is nowhere near the size of some other fan bases, and thus 3rd party add-ons, including themes, are very limited. Seeing as how a big reason to use a CMS is for folks who are perhaps less code savvy to be able to handle their own stuff, the ability for a simple re-skinning would be nice, and my aim here is to bring that one step closer by helping others make more themes for Concrete5 to use. With that being said, lets get going!
